suggestions for rings/mount for vortex
« on: July 03, 2017, 08:45:47 AM »
I just got a new 6.5-20x50 viper and was wondering if anyone had suggestions for rings etc. I have some leupold rings and mounts but thought maybe something else would be better. Maybe the Burris rings?

I'm giving the Warne rings a try. The TPS rings and the rail are a little more than what I can budget in but they look like good rings.

I have the 6.5 -20 vortex on a trade gun from member on here
finally shot it yesterday
I have rings that have 3 screws not sure of the brand though, seemed to shoot well with them on the .300 ultra

Thanks. Looking forward to shooting maybe the 4th. It's now mounted on my 22-250. How'd you like the scope? I found mine on sale at http://cameralandny.com/old-deals.html
Thought for the price I should give the Vortex scopes a try.

Id prefer to have a 3x9 Leupold or Nikon or Zeiss
It should do fine, its not a walking around gun

I like the idea of that much magnification for bench shooting-sage rats and targets. And that is a nice looking rifle.

I use Weaver bases and Burris Zee Rings usually.  They are solid enough that I have never had any issues what so ever with them.
