Peaches Ridge muzzle loader bull!
« on: July 12, 2017, 06:25:34 AM »
Hey Guys,

I'm one of the lucky guys who drew the Peaches Muzzle loader bull tags this year!  I have talked to some previous tag holders (archery and rifle) but haven't had a chance to talk to anybody who has muzzle loader hunted it before.  This years dates are Sept 30 - Oct 8.  I have done some scouting on the Taneum side but haven't made it over to the Hwy 410 side yet.  I used to bear hunt and backpack off of 410 so I'm fairly familiar with it but definitely want to get back in there and get reacquainted.  Any advice you guys may have would be greatly appreciated.  PM's are welcomed if you don't want to post publicly.

Thank you in advance and hope you have a great season!

I haven't had that exact tag but I would say that you want to hunt as early as you can in the permit season so you might get second cycle cows that are still in heat and hit the last bit of the rut.  You will have a fun fall!!!  Good luck!!!

Best tag in the state in my opinion! Elk will be really vocal at the time of your hunt.  You will be able to pick and choose which bull you want...
I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

It doesn't matter what you think...

I'm getting excited! Have seen a ton of sign each time I get in there. Good luck, I have the same tag... been burning some boot leather finding some good spots
Wishing I was fishing...or in Wyoming
