Who's going where for the opener?  I'm torn between Mid-channel or Jeff head?

Not this weekend, but probably next.  Last year, we scratched one at mid, but the bait were a no show.  If it isn't good when it should be in the tide, don't be shy about moving.

Ill be out. Looks like 22 inch min, limit is 1, hatchery or clipped only,  and could keep 1 pink if you needed to.
Yes, my FJ is pink, I'm all about Team Jacob, beer is not for the horses nor is whiskey for the men, they are both for me.

Great looking fish!
I don't know what I'm talking about because I live in the BIG CITY!

Anyone else fishing this opening?

I'll give this another shot in the morning, there's a very nice tide.

I don't expect the good fishing will last too long - nasty tides are on way.

We fished Jeff's head opener had 3 clipped fish at 21" so no keepers for us.  Lots of shakers.

Hopefully it will last through tomorrow, I plan on hitting midchannel with a kid that has never caught a salmon.

It will be open tomorrow.  Both participation and fishing quality has dropped off since opening day.  But I expect area 9 will close sometime next week.

This has slowed way down and most have given up.  This morning's bite was steady:  shaker, shaker, dogfish ...

Ended up releasing a nice native and keeping a small coho.  Looks like it will stay open awhile longer.

Only 12 rigs in the parking lot.
