Don't get these

I trashed my hands because I rattle hard but I grind them harder and I can't get the good grind noise with them, also they're too big.
The rattle bags are just as good as these but aren't as good as the real deal, I like a heavy beam 3 pt. I sawed off the eyeguards and grinded the tips down some  (whoa that stinks)

I get excited rattling in bucks

I switched from the real thing to a rattle bag. Same results easy to carry. Although and I swear by the rattle I still combine it with scents and calls, both grunts and bleats. The fun is in the experiments.

My :twocents: is nothing sounds even close then the real deal and if they are real dry soak the horns in water for a day or two in other words listen wisely to 3nails
This, times two.  Rattle bags can and do work, but I have had best results with actual sheds soaked in water for at least a day.  With the antlers, you can add a lot of nuance (grinding, hard hits, light sparring, etc.).

If you can't dig up real antlers any other way, here is another place to try:

And yes, 3nails is a great authority on rattling techniques!  I owe my whitetail buck from last year to some of his sage advice.

I just bang my arrow around in my rest  :dunno:

I've heard that authentic rattling sequences also require thrashing the ground and brush, so occasionally I'll stop banging my arrow and roll around on the ground, do jumping jacks, and bang my head into trees.

Some say it won't work, but I've killed just as many big bucks doing that as I have with a real set of antlers !!   :twocents:

You will be pleased with the real thing. For sentimental reasons I'd rather lose my rifle than my antlers.
