By reading that topic you will understand everything that has changed and what is still the same on the forum!

These changes have made the forum one of the weirdest I've been a part of to date. I don't get the reasoning for any of it. I tried to look at the forum on my phone and it was pretty much non functional. Too much at once

The site really hasn't changed much. The only difference is you now have to opt in to Virtual Campfire and the Off topics section. Otherwise you won't even know they exist. But other than that you shouldn't see any differences in functionality of the forum.

it no longer works on my phone and I click on the topic which was moved to vitual campire and it says I'm not authorized to see it and have to register again or some nonsense. too much to do for a chatting website. I've been on it less and less and this is just kind of another step leaning me to even less than less.

A large number of members complained about the Virtual Campfire being off-topic, that's why we made it opt in. I opted you in so you can see the Virtual Campfire, if you want to see off topics just reply back and I'll opt you in to it also. Please understand, that no matter what we do some members are happy and others are unhappy, all we can do is try to keep the forum friendly and try to satisfy everyone as best we can. I hope this resolved your issue? Thanks for being a long time member.

Its the going of most of the old forums. Its a panic because people are going to face book and whatever else. I think most folks like a good old reliable page which doesn't go crazy trying to keep up. It won't. This isn't bookface, never will be and shouldn't try to be. Over-moderation has killed the retriever training forum which was one of the oldest and most used sites ever for dog training. Most folks can hardly stomach even visiting the site anymore. They sold it to a forum sucker company recently and its a pile of poo. The best forums are barely moderated and the old users are usually pretty adept at kicking dumb new posters in the nuts delicately enough to keep things rolling smoothly.

We understand that over moderation can be annoying also, that's why we are asking everyone to be civil and avoid profanity so we don't have to over moderate. Thanks for your concerns, we are listening to all thoughts.
