Texture
« on: August 20, 2017, 10:04:48 AM »
Hopefully you guys will get the gist of what I am after in this thread.   Photos that are filled with "texture". May look more like an artist throwing paint on a canvas other than a photo itself.

@Brute    I know you have some.

Just confirming, that bull has a giant dropper correct?
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton

Thought this fit....
"All those who love Nature she loves in return, and will richly reward, not perhaps with the good things, as they are commonly called, but with the best things of this world-not with money and title, horses and carriages, but with bright and happy thoughts, contentment and peace of mind."

Some truly amazing pics here.

Thank you all for sharing.

@runamuk

I thought I was seeing shadows like that from some trees when I watched the eclypse, but I coudn't really figure out what was going on with it.     I never got around to checking if it's " a thing" but now I  know......   thanks,

Oh man. How did I miss this thread! Texture is my favorite area of photography along with wide angle landscape. The lady bugs and the water droplets photos are awesome guys.

I took this photo a few years ago on a rainy day experimenting in my garage. The intention of this photo was to try and capture texture with what I had laying around the house. I have a few other subject matters but this one turned out the best.

A simple straw hat on a mule deer hide.

Fantastic pics.
