I have never owned one.
But several friends have them and like them.

I suspect that it is like packs. Certain brands are popular for awhile and than every body starts after the next great thing.

The guys selling may have had them awhile and now are ready to try something new.

That's like asking why so many Ford trucks for sale.  It's because there's a billion of them out there.

They are so popular that there are lots for sale. I own several and have sold several. Just change calibers etc.
They are a good shooting gun far from junk.

I think if you look at the round count and caliber you can see a correlation. Some calibers are not as fun to shoot especially with a light rifle.

They are really popular with gear heads. Gear heads are always selling old gear to try the latest and greatest.

Pretty sure the people who hate them have never shot them.  They're light, smooth, DEADLY ACCURATE!  I have two, one in 300wsm, the other in 7mm-08 and love them both.  Each will shoot one ragged 5 shot group at 100yds with hand loads.

Whackmaster, Jackall asked some pretty relevant questions about your rifle that remain unanswered (round count, accuracy, rings) jsyk. I imagine there are others like me who would want to know this before committing to anything.

Tikka (and sister company Sako) are great quality rifles with very good accuracy.  Large volume manufacturing at reasonable pricing, generally results in higher quantity of sales....and thus re-sales (there are just more out there).

Plus, most Tikkas I see for sale are the powerful calibers.  300WSM, 300WM, 338WM, etc.   Perhaps people have decided they want a heavier gun for such calibers.  I see fewer smaller caliber Tikka for sale on most websites in comparison.

I have had many rifles in my 50 years of hunting. Winchester model 70, weatherby, Remington, browning Abolt , but Tikka is my favorite. I bought a Tikka in .338 win mag about 10 years ago. It is light weight and very accurate. I would never sell it.
