Talk to a friend of mine yesterday, he said they saw 8 bears in one day this week up in the Buzzard lake country.

I saw 8 different bears in one basin a couple summers ago. It was over 2 days. Central Cascades.

Well I'm up in 204 on the prowl for yogi if anyone has some spots or suggestions? Tried the two spots I have seen bear a month ago. Would be greatly appreciated. Thanks  :)

I spotted 8 one day on a BC fishing trip and thought we'd have problems with the coolers for sure.  Turned out that day was the only day we saw any wild life.  Also saw 3 moose while going in to the lake.

A lot of logging activity going on North of Buzzard as of late last week.....

One time years ago I was cutting logs on a private sale, I fell this on big pine that had a fork about two logs up, in the fork was a honey bee hive. The cat skinner and I figured we would get there early the next morning when it was colder and get the honey. Bears came in that night and cleaned up, from the tracks it looked like two bear.

Ok, ok seems like eight is the lucky number. I wasn't going to post but I guess I will now. I saw eight bears on opening morning some years back, all color phases except blonde, which I had seen in that area before, but only once. And this all happened in the first 2 hours of the day.  :yike:

I never experienced that ever again, even there, sometimes areas are just hot I guess.  :dunno:

I video taped 7 or 8 about 25 yrs ago,  using 8mm camcorder.   We led one hunter to one of the bear and got him shooting it on video, his first (MB if your reading this) :).   We always thought that was crazy until about 5 yrs later we saw 13 in a different drainage.   Since then at most I've seen is 3.  It is unreal when you see that many...  on a side note,  i ran into mb in the dark archery hunting for elk years later.   Small world.
