Any advice for East Okanogan(Gmu 204)
« on: August 07, 2017, 06:56:53 PM »
Hey guys, my name is Aaron and I'm new to the forum. Hoping to get a little help if possible. My dad drew a senior tag for any antlerless deer in GMU 204 (Mod firearm). We have always stuck to the west side and hunted black tails, so we don't have much east side experience. But he wants to shoot a big ol Mulie doe, and I wouldn't mind finding mulie buck to shoot!  We will be doing a scouting trip here soon, so I'm sure we will know a little more after that but Any advice for this area or a newbie mule deer hunter would be awesome! Thanks in advance

If you are camping then the Bonepart lake area which is in the middle of lots of national Forest. Very little to no hotels or motels close. easy access either ex hyw #20 or Orville/Chesaw rd. Also close by is Lost lake and Beaver Lake .

We will be camping! Thanks for the info! I have heard the bonapart area mentioned a few times so that'd be a good place to start

We will be in that unit doing the same thing, but looking for whitetail does with our second tags. Is the national forest ground in that unit pretty crowded during modern season?
