Western Elk (Late)
« on: September 05, 2017, 12:41:50 PM »
Just returning to bow hunting after a 27 year break.  I grew up hunting in Eastern WA, I'm new to this area.  Shot a Black tail fork 2 days ago, so I'm getting amped up for elk.  Would appreciate any info I could get on areas to hunt and places to camp. My trailer is a 27 ft toyhauler.  Finding decent spots in mountains around here is a pain.

Good luck to everyone this season!

RickFox, have the same issue. I hunt down in the southwest corner of the state but could not get a campsite this year. All full. Skipping archery Elk and going in Rifle season. Heading out this evening for Blacktail. Still have not gotten one so determined but would rather hunt whitetail on the East side.

Sorry cant help you but did not want your post going unanswered.
