Guess I need a new caller. FoxPro Fusion looks pretty good.

Love my Scorpion. But was also having some trouble with it last year. Nobody makes anything near as compact anymore.

I believe Minaska is still making the M-1 Bandit with upgraded sound boards. It has been one of my favorite callers since it came out.

Minaska makes some great calls, and I think they still make their small model, which fits in a jacket pocket and appeared to be what the Scorpion copied. Minaska are not great marketers and like everybody else in the electronic caller business, got steamrollered by the massive FoxPro marketing machine. l have my original M1 Bandit and I can patch on a big external speaker and gel battery when I want big sound that lasts for hours.
I've never sent my M1 in for repair and it is the only e-caller I've used that has never played the wrong sound by accident on a stand. I will admit that I have gotten a kick over the years out of the endless posts from FoxPro owners sending back their callers over and over for repair and the endless raves about FoxPro customer service. I have no idea about current Minaska stuff and though I have never had a problem, some people report slow customer service. They have a good library of sounds plus it is easy to record my own sounds and put them on the system.
With the Minaska I've called cougars, black bears, red and cross fox, bobcats, lynx, and wolves plus the usual deer, ravens, hawks etc. that come to a sound-- and even coyotes.

Here's a photo of my M-1 from last year in AZ. I believe it is 12+ years old and has never missed a beat.

FP doesn't make a compact caller, and the Minaskas are compact and very reliable.
Sorry Rick but FP might be big but they aren't great, my CS-24 has been in twice for the poor design on the remote allowing dirt to get in the on/off switch. I own three Minaskas and the only time I've had to send one in was when I broke off a toggle switch, instead of replacing the toggle switch they upgraded to the latest model for free.
Over the years I've owned six FP's(bought one from you) and three Minaskas, still have the original three Minaskas, just two of the FP's are left. The CS-24 is lighter and handier than the Minaska Big Country. The Crossfire I won and use it on occasion as it is set up the same as the CS-24. Most of the FP's have been given to new hunters.

Yep, bought a Banshee too. Looked at the Minaska it was nearly $500.00, Banshee was 299.00
FoxPro asked how I found out about the Banshee, I told them it was you and Rick that did it. I aint sure they will talk to you two any more. after sending me there.
LOL
