Smackout Pass Deer?
« on: September 26, 2017, 08:08:24 PM »
Thinking of playing in some new ground for muzzleloader. I've hunted both East and West of Smackout Pass outside Ione/Northport but never right in that area. I know the wolf pack in that area is named the smackout pack. Anyone have any info on the herd up there. I'm wanting to hunt high for mule deer.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

Always saw lots of whitetails in the timber hunting turkeys. The first left at the meadow head up the hill and hunt the thin timber.
