342 Maloy rd
« on: October 03, 2017, 06:09:26 PM »
I figured I would post this here aswell since there are a lot of Elk hunters that hunt this area. You can delete if not wanted here since I posted in the Campfire section. I just got word from my brother and cousin that the bridge on the Maloy rd is washed out. This is over in the Wenas area. Not sure when it will be repaired. Just thought I would post it up since I haven’t seen it here yet.

I haven't been up that way for a while, but lots of the wdfw and dnr bridges on wenas got damaged from flooding.

Maybe they are finally working on it. Have been warning signs up all year.  Seems like the time of year they would do it.

Per Yakima County Roads website,

Maloy Road Closure - Effective WEdnesday, September 27th Sep 26, 2017
http://www.yakimacounty.us/alertcenter.aspx?aid=33
YAKIMA, WA – Maloy Road will be closed to all vehicular traffic at the Wenas Creek Crossing for bridge replacement. The closure is expected to begin on Wednesday, September 27 and the road is anticipated to be reopened on Friday, October 6, 2017.

Wow, that was close.

Last I heard it's open until the end of the archery season. Yes, bridge repairs made and open BBQ flat
