Google earth scouting
« on: October 07, 2017, 09:29:02 AM »
Work and family keeping me busy, so google earth scouting for my Goose Prairie permit.  Probably able to get away next Saturday and look around.  Wanted to point out  Cash Prairie.  Just this year it is now three times more the prairie.  Other than wood products, was there another reason for this timber sale?  Are there more sales north along the 1500 road in the future?

Quite a few reasons are behind that sale. Dead lodgepole= a fire hazard, habitat improvement, and some aspects of white bark pine restoration.

I commented on the project proposal in favor of the logging and thinning that will be taking place in future years. There were only a handful of hunters thst commented on it.

It is going to look outstanding when the contractor is done in there.

Hopefully the circus will have more sales once they get done with the Little Naches planning.
