I completely lose my appetite when in the mountains hunting.
:yeah: I'm usually too in tuned with hunting to focus too much on eating as well.
:yeah:
I bring a couple payday candy bars. It amazes me how little I feel hungry when I'm hunting. At work I'm usually starving by 9am. :chuckle:

Normally it’s a couple protein bars, trail mix , and a couple zip fizz. This year during Elk I went all out as Mr. Snacks, cold weather MRE, bag of Halloween candy, jerky, bear pepperoni, gum, Gatorade, almonds, cubed pepper jack cheese, apple slices.

I was trying to force myself to sit all day. Didn’t make it.  :chuckle:

This is rifle season,

All you need is  30 tallboys of keystones ice and around 200 rounds of freedom.

Sounds weird but I always got my peanut butter, honey and bacon sandwich and a couple candy bars some water and a full can of Grizz

A few guys I know stuff a can in every open pocket as they head out.

Well how else are you suppose to find your way back?

A heavy meat and cheese laden sandwich, venison jerky, homemade trail mix, energy bars, cans of sardines (although the garbage from them is getting too much to pack out as it smells bad), landjaegers, or any combination of the above.  Stay away from Fiber One anything.  Those are trouble.  You will need to pack extra toilet paper.

Sounds like some of you guys pack enough food to spend the day having a picnic.

:yeah: Hope to not offend, but I wouldn't dream of taking half the stuff some of you guys are listing. Especially some of the smelly stuff like tuna/onion type stuff.

Jerky pepperoni cheese mix, almonds, and a sandwich.  Water is the most important thing.  A flask incase there is reason to celebrate.

Trail mix, Halloween candy and that smashed PB and J for me.  Also, I like the combination of liquid and energy from a pint or two of chocolate or strawberry milk.

I pack an MRE. Plenty of food for a whole day. Getting hungry will mess up a good day hunting real fast.

favorite thing to make the night before is a toasted english muffin breakfast sandwich with cheese, egg, fried ham and guacamole or ketchup. Put that in tin-foil and in the morning I throw it on my dash and crank the windshield defrost, I flip it over after 15 mins or so. After about 30 mins you will have a hot breakfast sandwich and the cheese will be melted. If your in a rush throw it under the hood for 5 mins near the manifold and it will be ready. other then that a cliff bar or two.

Clif bars, cashews, venison jerky (ironically), dried fruit, bottle of Gatorade.  A sandwich if it truly is a front-country hunt.

Whether heading to go Hunting or Fishing. Early morning means Raspberry filled powdered Doughnuts are a must. Then eat real food after that. PBJ''s etc. I usually have my boys so I need never ending snack supplies.

Jerky, Granola bars, apples and.....Reese's Peanut Butter cups!

I usually leave something larger (sandwich) in the vehicle for the end of the day.
