New fire near Bethel Ridge?
« on: October 12, 2017, 08:43:36 PM »
Anyone know what's up with the fire near Bethel Ridge?  Is it a prescribed burn or something?

I've been watching the smoke from my house near Naches.

Also, anyone have a handy source for info on when/where controlled burns happen?

Prescribed burn up oak creek by wdfw. Hoofsandwings posted about it a long time ago. I bumped the thread in the elk board a few days ago. Signs were posted last year and this year about it in the drainage.

White Pass Outfitters and Chinook Pass Outfitters are the only two outfitters with special use permits in the 346-364 area. Give them a call and see if they suite your needs.

Burn approval page.

Call WDFW and see if they have a email list you can subscribe to. There's one for the local USFS.
