Opening day Early Muzz.
« on: October 14, 2017, 08:45:33 PM »
A little late on this short post. just after 7 am opening morning about 2 miles from my truck behind a locked gate. This is my first muzzy elk a little 4X5, using a knight bighorn with 110 grns 2f triple seven and 300 grn Hornaday sst's ignited by Remington #11 percussion cap. Not too much to tell besides I spotted these elk and he was the only bull I saw put the sneak to get a little closer and then took the shot. The rest of the story is work from that point on.  A very good day in my opinion.

Nothing little about a 4x5 elk when you are packing it back to the truck.  Nice work.

That has got to make you have a great day!  Really nice harvest!  I would think you and your family will really benefit from it!

Thanks all for the positive feed back. I really am happy with this bull.  I feel grateful that I had the opportunity to harvest it and was actually able to make it all come together. I am still very happy with this being my first muzzleloader elk.  And yes the freezer got filled up with really good eats. Thanks again!!

Thanks Buck
