Glad you're okay! Could have been a lot worse. That Hunter should have his hunting rights suspended for some time until he learns how to identify a human over the game he is hunting!

I thought it was.
Even if the victim doesn't press charges a negligent action that harms someone like that would get someone with a badge knocking on your door.
Perhaps it's being investigated.

Did this happen in Washington? Glad the guy is alright! He didn't seem too angry with the guy who shot him, even said he was a "good guy."

I'm not sure where it happened.

What a poor shot, guy certainly missed the crease at only 30-35 yards :sry:  WTF?!  How do you mistake a guy standing there for an elk?  And the shot, skim the shoulder and chest?  The shooter was aiming for the guts, the dewlap, or just an atrocious shot. Should coin a new term, instead of weekend warrior it is one weekend hunter...

Glad the hunter is ok and not going to suffer permanent damage.

Does the name Mr Magoo resonate?   This isn't the first time I have heard a similar story.  Each time it was some myopic guy stalking around the woods w/o their glasses who was responsible.   It would not surprise me one bit to find out that was the case here.

This drives me nuts.  Absolutely no excuse.  He didn't ID his target ... period.  Id go after him, if just to keep him from doing it again and possibly killing someone.
