Hahaha..
No I showed up a few days early to scout. The winter was hard on the bigger bucks. I went after the broken horn buck on the opener. I hunted around for a while before I located him. I put on a stalk to 250 yards and dropped him in a rock bluff. He cartwheeled for a few hundred yards. And busted his main beam, eye guard, and forks off. He is 28" wide. If anyone knows a taxidermist that can restore this let me know. :bash:
The second day I was able to harvest just a fantastic four point. Tall, wide, and great forks

What a great hunt, two great bucks! I keep reading about how few deer people are seeing in Idaho, apparently due to the bad winter. I'm pretty sure most taxidermists can easily fix that broken antler.

Always jealous of the bucks you get over there...still looking for a spot like you have over there. Congrats!

The snow was over my gaters in places. A lot has melted. But I believe the snow is supposed to let lose in the next week. I had to chain up all four twice. Pretty much everyone I have talked to is no seeing deer. But there are still a few left;)

Both great bucks, but good grief that second one is just awesome.  Congrats.

@ timberstalker
It has great genetics. I seen mostly small bucks this year. So I was glad to turn up a few big deer.

For fixing the antlers... I only found the main beam, I’m missing the eye guard and point tips. I’m  Not sure if they can blend something in or not?

They can be recreated.
