Stay away from First Lite. I'm disgusted at the quality of the pants that I own (merino wool) and their customer service was frankly revolting.
Bummer to hear that about First Lite.  There's no excuse for bad customer service.  Period.

I'm getting a bit jaded on the idea of merino wool in the first place.  It's a great material, don't get me wrong, but for most hunting (and most outdoor sports) applications, it's just simply not durable enough.

Yep. I drank the Kool-Aid for it, and I'm paying for it. Once these pants are ripped up enough (bought them this summer, will have 5-6 patches sewn on by the end of this hunting season) I'll be going back to Sitka. Althought Kuiu is getting a lot of love on this thread.

I have the first lite boundary Stormtight pants and they have been awesome. No water at all from days on end including busting brush. My north face jacket... not so much.

I once forgot my rain gear.
A storm front came in and i hinted with big black garbage bags between my long underwear and camo.
It was a little noisy but it kept me dry.
Mostly.   :chuckle:

Has anyone tried or know anyone that has tried this gear? Their warranty seems top shelf. Prices aren’t bad either.

I've had great experience with First Lite cust.service,no complaints.
As stated any rain gear that is breathable will soak through eventually. If I'm just sitting for a long time in heavy rain I will usually pull a syl.nylon poncho over me and my pack

You're not the only one who has had to do the "emergency garbage bag poncho" trick.

First lite SEAK and Stormtight pants. They rock but I live in the rain. I have 2 seasons with the jacket using it 15 ish days hard hunting through brush and it looks new. The storm tight pants I have a small tear by the ankle from hurdling deadfalls chasing a bugling bull. They keep me 100% dry but are not a warmth layer if your hunting later in the season.

+ 1 on the First Lite SEAK Stormtight and Boundary Stormtight pants. It's a bummer others have had terrible service with FL, I've nothing but good experiences all around.
