Nebraska opener report
« on: October 28, 2017, 03:58:17 PM »
SLOW for pheasants.  Managed to kill one young bird, and had to hold my shot from what would have possibly been a double, due to a dog too close under the other bird. Hunted until about noon and then the wind came up fast.  No matter, as most of the corn is still in, giving the birds WAY too much cover.  Hopefully the corn will be out next weekend for the guys hunting the CO pheasant opener.  The farmers were knocking it down fast through Eastern CO and Western NE.
