As your looking at it that right antler looks like a old knarly hand, awesome.
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter

Wow, just wow, that is amazing.

I didn't figure this buck would have made it through the winter either with his hind quarter muscle atrophy but who knows as they are proud and tough. If this picture is high jacking the thread let me know and I will delete.

Hell of a shot Bone!  For someone who knows what they're looking at, that photo tells an incredible story.  It's hard to take your eyes off him.   Hopefully, that old boy will die an easy death when his time comes.

Boneaddict, That is one of your best shots of a buck who has seen it all. I think for his age he is still very clean buck. You can tell he was smart enough to pick his battles and took care of himself. That buck should get a 10 for respect from all hunters and all of his competitors!!!!

He's survived predators, bad winters, droughts, stumbling hunters, disease, probably some dicey road crossings during the rut and who knows what else. He's spread some seriously superior genes throughout his long life and fought like a prize fighter every single year to do so (good times).  I'm of the opinion that this old gentleman/warrior dies on his terms, in his bed, reminiscing about how he defied the odds and did HIS thing for so many years.
:yeah: Awesome pic bone

Man hope someone gets him if huntable... doesn't look like he would last the winter...love the look of his antler's.

Hell, he doesn't look like he'll last another month, no less the winter.  Great buck!

Bone, if you don't want him to suffer, just pm me the location.   :chuckle:

It's kind of sad  :'( ...that he's not in my freezer! Cool picture, Bone.
