Dogs, Birds and Training

Thanks to Wayne there are some more opportunities for both retrievers and upland dogs on the East side of the state. I just wanted to pass on that these picnic days are the place to go ask questions and meet people.

The environment is always intentionally very laid back and easy going. If you are new and interested in hunt testing, trialing your retriever or pointer be sure to show up at one of these events.

Pack a lunch, bring your dog and a chair.(maybe even sneak a  :brew: or two)If you've never been to a test or trial, it is a lot of fun to watch. You'll see dogs at these events do stuff that is just amazing!

The Cherry Valley WRC event is a retriever event. Wayne listed an upland dog event which I believe is open to pointing retrievers and true pointers alike.
"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checked by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the grey twilight that knows not victory nor defeat."
Theodore Roosevelt 1899
