Firearm engraving
« on: November 21, 2017, 07:38:49 PM »
Hey was wondering if I could get some suggestions on where to get some engraving work done on a Henry’s rifle? My siblings and I are getting our Dad a Henry’s .45 for his retirement gift. He’s been wanting one for quite awhile. We’d like to get something etched into it but I’m not sure where to have the etching done at. Is there anything local that anyone may know of? Thanks for any help..

I bet if your ordering from Henry’s they’ll engrave it for you.

Maybe try Kehr Engraving in Lacey. I don't know anything about it, but found it here:

You can also search for other gun dealers, gunsmiths, etc. on that site. Anyone who has an FFL is listed there. I noticed some of the names/addresses are not current. I saw at least one there that's no longer in business. But it's still a good resource.

The above place says they do cerakote and engraving. I have not used them but found them in a search a while back.

I've never had any work done there but I've heard good things about North West Firearm Finishes and I believe they do engraving, to what extent I don't know, but it could be worth looking into.  http://www.nwfirearmfinishes.com/services/

I'm pretty sure they're in the Yakima Valley area.

They are , Sunnyside to be exact. Never used them for engraving but they have Cerakoted several of my guns and always do a great job.

You can check with most trophy sales places. they are set up to engrave script, maybe a little decorative, it's machine engraving.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

I looked into it, because we just recently purchased a plasma cutting table, with the laser engraving stuff as well, but in order to take possession of a firearm to do the engraving, you must be an FFL.

Only if you leave it there, some places you can set up an appointment and they will do it while you wait.

Any luck getting your rifle engraved? I'm looking for recommendations for a shop in western Wa.
