Shopping for Sandblast Cabinet Locally
« on: November 22, 2017, 11:50:37 AM »
Perhaps my Google-Fu is weak. I have been looking for a local, almost anywhere in WA, dealer in blast cabinets that are US made. Something like a Cyclone or Skat Blast with 7-9 cubic feet of workspace and have been coming up with nothing. There’s plenty of online resellers of cabinets but, I’d rather pay sales tax instead of $270-$395 in freight as I’ve been quoted. I’d even drive to Idaho or Oregon and pay use tax back to the state for the right deal. Plus the YL gets a one day road trip which makes her happy.

Why not Harbor Freight or another import? I’m trying to keep Americans working and, I’d like a cabinet with welded seams instead of a bolt together package even though the price difference is very tempting. From what I’ve seen and experienced the TP Tools import cabinets work just fine and don’t leak.

Am I missing out on some good folks here in WA to do business with?

Wish I had an answer for you. Have you tried calling any body shops or powder coaters to see what they know?
