Cast bullets in a sabot?
« on: November 28, 2017, 04:08:13 PM »

I was thinking about trying some heavier cast .458 bullets (pure lead) in my .50 cals and maybe .52.  Something like a 45/70 PP or Money bullet this would be for hunting and generally adding to the reduction of the overall air quality.

I had a custom mold made for my 54 cal knight. Its a .500 370grn FN design. They shoot pretty darn good. I'm going to experiment with lead hardness this off season and powder charge. Dont see why the correct size wont shoot in your gun.
