After two years of carrying this Scott Exxus, I finally got around to making a strap and drilling a hole in my release.

I wouldn't mind doing this to mine, but how come you didn't drill it a bit lower?  It's not a criticism, I've never drilled one so I was wondering if there's a best place to put a lanyard.

Honestly, it was due to where I felt it wouldn’t interrupt with my grip (aka-not bug me). I may end up drilling a few more or at least one more to try another variation.

And after thinking about your marked up pic, that’s where the screw is, on the other side.

Update.... I cut the wrist strap off... too cumbersome to untangle when going to grab and gets tangled in the string/cables when grabbing and nocking arrows.  I’ll just do as I’ve done the past couple years with it... don’t lose it🤪

thanks for the update, saves me drilling a hole and then cutting off the strap later  :chuckle:

It was a good idea though
