Picked up a Model 70 Sporter in 222 Rem and have fitted a youth stock to it and working up loads for coyotes 52gr Speer and jackrabits 33 gr light loads.  Ran into a deal on a Sako L-461 Mannlicher in 222 Rem, short/youth stock perfect for me and less than half the price if the stock were long.  Injury this fall has prevented hunting, finally got out after some ducks two days ago, took the Husqvarna hammer sxs, love hunting with the old stuff.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Fullfield II (6.5x20x50) is on and ready to start punchin' paper! 2 trips to Sportsman's  to find the right stinkin'  Butler Creek covers (They don't make  large enough "blizzard" see-through covers to fit,  although they are advertised as compatible on their manufacturer's chart).

I don't think them will work with the 1-12 twist

I need to do some tinkering with my .204 it is accurate but I haven’t been able to put down a coyote like my .223 or my .22-250 do. I have shot and lost more coyotes with that rifle than all other guns combined, mind boggling 32gr VMAX

I have had nothing but good success with the 32gr vmax over the years. Hope you figure out a load that works good for you

Just finished up an Ar10 in 6.5 Creed. I used a Aero M5e1 builders kit, Ballistic Advantage 22iinch bull barell, Magpul PRS gen 2 stock and pistol grip. An Elftman trigger, JSE captured spring and of course an adjustable gas block. I topped it all off with a Leupold vxII 6-18x40 on their mount. Cant wait to take it out break it in and shoot some groups.

I'm so out of touch with today's trends.  I'm in the process of restoring a 1960's era 20 gauge SXS.  Making it great again for another half century of service.  Everyone should have a meaningful winter project.  Whatever it may be.
  I'm behind the times too.  The old stuff is pretty fun.

My first rifle, I bought in high school, was a Winchester 94 in 30-30.

I wish I never sold it.
Friend: "Are you free tonight?"
Me:  (Gazing into the distance as a bald eagle screeches)  "I'm always free"

I've got a Rem 700 SA that's all blueprinted and ready to roll as well as this nice little McM stock.  I was kinda thinking about doing a 22 Creedmoor since Alpha is making 22 Creed brass, which would make things very easy and even have correct headstamp but then I got to looking at that new 95gr Sierra MK and that got me to thinking the little Creedmoor case just wouldn't have enough horsepower so now I'm considering a 22-284 with a 1-7tw to sling those 95gr MK's.

I'd prefer to use the SA that I have because I've already got a real nice stock for it but if the OAL is to long I have a LA 700 that's ready to roll, too.

@b23, who did the blueprinting work on your 700 actions?

I typically have the gunsmith that is doing the build blueprint the action but this time I had Karl Kampfeld w/Kampfeld Custom do the actions while they were there getting the bolts fluted.
