Plant lives matter.
It is a fact, less predation on plants by herbivores will increase growth.
UW "professors".
Sorry, but really leaning towards WSU.. Or even Central should do the study.

They need to take the data from the cameras that shows how long the deer keep their heads up looking for wolves and compare it to deer in Colorado or another state that doesn't have wolves. That's a BS one sided study with nothing to compare the data to and I'd like to see where the funding came from.
I could believe that wolves could move the deer and elk herds around on their wintering grounds, which in turn would keep them from wiping out an entire hillside of vegetation. What he is claiming is laughable BS.

Funny how they don't acknowledge that the deer get eaten or that the deer that do live still have to eat. Perhaps the scared deer aren't eating less grass. Maybe it's that there are less deer and therefore more plants.

I noticed a lot of could be's, should be's and probablyes.
Seems like he has already decided the outcome and is gathering evidence to validate his preconceived outcome.

Since us as hunters a scare deer all the time ,i guess we make the grass grow better. They also didn't say that deer that are to scared to eat may not eat enough before winter making them weak winter kills. But hay the grass will be green that's what counts.

I think the guys closing statement sums it up.
"
by understanding these top predators we can defend them better
" Pretty much a one track mind, "
we're
going
to have wolves, we just need to find a better argument to justify their existence"

You guys do realize, the "government" only hires the best and brightest for these job positions, don't ya!??
Indoctrination only works if you've been attending at least 4 years, 6 is even better!
If your seeking a Federal/State Welfare(fed job)position, make sure you also attend a very "Eco-friendly" institution(like Evergreen).
