Hawkins long range 1pc rings for Tikka group buy!!!!!
« on: December 29, 2017, 01:23:42 PM »
Title sums it up!  I started my latest build on a Tikka action. Currently Hawkins does not make their ultralight one piece rings for tikkas.  Mike at Hells Canyon Armory talked with the guys at Hawkins and if we can get a min 20 unit order put together they will make them.  These things are amazing!  1", 30mm, or 34mm, high, or low, Ultra light, built in level, have 25moa built in as well.  Cost would be $100 a set which is a great price!  I've got 2 committed so far so only 18 to go!

Reidus- 3/30mm lows
Karl- 1/30mm
Mike- 1/30mm
Carp- 1/30mm high
Clarktar- 1/1", 1/30mm low
Roger J- 2/30mm high

Total: 10

TIs is a pic of these same type rings on a 700 footprint action. Tikkas should look similar

not that I'm aware of.  On my Remington carbon and 50mm objective highs are my huckleberry.   I know chris on his #4 contour and nightforce NSX he is running lows.  I'd imagine on a factory barrel lows would be your jam.  I'll have Mike hop on when he can and answer any questions.

The ones in the pic I posted are low. For the ones I have the lows measure .5 from action too to scope bottom. Highs are .6  not a ton of difference. I am assuming the tikka ones will be similar height.
At the closest point I have around .07 inches clearance.

As a warning and heads up... even with these rings your tikka will still be a tikka and still won’t be awesome  :peep:  :yike:

I'll have to ask Mike. He's in Idaho so not sure how the tax thing would work.  He's not really looking to make money on this thing.  He wants a set for his .280ai so offering the lower price to make it happen :chuckle:

Oh I didn't know he moved last time I did some buying from him he was in WA lol.

Probably no tax, just shipping.

Are these going to use the factory holes on the action, or is it the style that clamps onto the rail. I see they do both styles of rings.

yeah he moved to Lewiston this summer.  They are the one piece long range so factory holes.  Direct mount, no rail needed

Excellent.

Last question. Will these have the 25 MOA built in or they just standard 0 MOA?
