Update!? I assume he’s either dead or gone by now.

I waited 30 minutes for my bedded buck this year.  I was texting my wife, dad, and a friend about it.  I even took a couple of videos (poor quality).  Eventually, I decided to switch spots when the deer looked away but was spotted by a different deer I didn't see before.  Buck jumped up and BANG! :)

I can't wait to see how this one pans out.

I would stop making any movements, including looking at your phone and let him forget you are there

I thought that was pretty cool, a live hunt!

I would have waited him out if there was any chance of getting a shot if he stood, eventually he would probably stand. If you make him stand good chance he'll jump and bust out of there not giving you any shot.

Well, here's the update: I sat for an hour and a half until he stood up and walked right over the ridge never presenting a shot. I'm not too broken up about it though. I've got one in the freezer already and this week is my first time hunting this property so I haven't really figured out the area yet. Looking forward to hunting his sheds and hopefully getting a chance at him next year. Time to focus my energy on ducks. Thanks for tuning in.

I had cell service almost 6 miles from a road in a wilderness area when I killed my goat this year.
:dunno:
Lots of cell service out there.

Haha no kidding. This property just happens to have cell towers parked on top of it so I'd hope it'd have some service.
