Mine went through smoothly. Bought the 2018 license, then the application and a few hours later the submit application drop-down showed up.

No trouble here - is confusing tho how you have to switch to "2018 hunt year" tab.

This was my first year applying for the spring tag. What units are usually applied for or desired the most? I applied for Sherman with zero points.

My reasoning for Sherman is we have property there to stay at. The other reason is I know the area well and there shouldn't be any reason to be able fill our tags in short order.

I don't think applications for Spring Bear open until 1 April

Gotta switch to the 2018 tab as we're still in the "2017 hunting year cycle."

2018 tags purchased and spring bear application submitted. Let the impatient waiting phase begin.

Yeah, I thought I would save money by doing it all at once and not paying the "convenience" fee multiple times.  That plan was great until I noticed the fee was $11 when I bought everything, so I think they get you either way.  I should be good to go for everything for the year save a duck stamp later on.

I didn't buy the 2-pole and second deer I think.  I expect to get 27 linear feet of paper in the mail shortly.

Me. But now that they took away the Monroe unit I wasn't too excited anyways.

I heard they were canceling most of the hunts this year, safe thing might be to call and see if you can change your apps to point savers...

Canceling some of the units that you could apply for this year? Or canceling units like how they got rid of the Monroe unit?

Got off easy.  I'm at $416.   :yike:  Includes fishing and all special permit apps.  No migratory or upland.  No double tags; bear, turkey, etc.

For some reason I think we've seen results as early as the 10th.

I'm surprised you could get to that, I think I only missed a deer permit or two and the two-pole endorsement.  I guess if I was a few years older I would qualify for the over 65 permits, and then there are hunter ed or master tags, a guy would have to try pretty hard to spend over $400.  First row in the looser's lounge for sure with that bill.   :chuckle:
