A few things I noticed,

I noticed he had a sprung jump trap. I can relate to that.
It made my back hurt to watch him skin those beaver on the ground. I guess that was before they invented tables.
Beaver tags, we had those in WA too. I think most States had them. They cost a dollar when I first trapped and raised to $2 before they did away with them. You had to have them in possession when you caught a beaver. Two tags and three beaver you were in trouble but you couldn't get a refund on unused tags at the end of the season.
Also consider that everyone of those beaver was worth about a days pay, probably more for the black ones.
1967, I think that was the first year I trapped.
