Saw two wolves yesterday a mile out of Twisp, they were after 6 deer on a little ridge outside of town, we notice the deer don't run anymore, they stand facing the wolves stomping their front feet.

CNW, DoW, WDF&wolves are all the same outfit.

The article says both wolves were breeding females, has anyone actually seen these "dead" wolves?

At this stage in the game, how many folks actually trust WDF&wolves or their fake environmental partners?

"Up to $3,000 for egregious violations involving deer, elk, moose, or other iconic or threatened wildlife, such as spree killing."

Not that I expect any of this to change Ribka's mind, but might be relevant info for those of you who appreciate facts.

I've hunted and fished in this state for 30 years. Make what you will of that.

WDFW-CNW prized wolves and the over population of cougars and bear are putting most of the hurt on the game herds, the BS that CNW or WDFW care one whit about the ungulates is just that BS.

I see mule deer behave that way towards coyotes all the time...I'm not convinced you saw 2 wolves.

I have also seen them act that way with a stock dog, result the same this time of year, stressed critters at there most critical time.  The stock dog goes home with the owner, the wolf, coyote, cougar and others keep at it and if they fail there is always some beef, lamb, stock dog or house pet to eat.  The system, predator/prey, is not so simple anymore.

Yep, they were wolves, a black and a light grey. I pulled in behind a couple who had been watching them, they said they had seen four others drop into the river bottom. I headed for home to get the camera, came back and glassed for quite a while never did see them agin, the deer were still there though.

Most of the recent threads I have read on here are about reduced cow moose tags and how to save the mule deer herds. Smarter hunters than me are suggesting reducing cow moose harvest completely and greatly reducing mule deer hunts/tags. All of this was predicted by the so called anti-wolf crowd when wolves first started showing up. Deer, elk and moose numbers would be way down and eventually they would start eliminating hunts and tags. Here we are and it is happening and these guys are offering 10,000 for someone who shot some wolves? I think the wolves might be the problem? I also read about the guy fined over 8000 for trapping some wolves right next to Idaho. This guy was not the sharpest tool in the shed but he could have moved a mile or two and legally trapped and shot the same wolves and 8 more legally in Idaho. These things are not an endangered species for crying out loud. I know nothing about cnw other than what I read on here. I don't need to know anything more than they are throwing 10,000 at this and if they really wanted to conserve ALL wildlife they would spend that time and money on allowing your state to manage wolves and other predators. Its easy to see where this group is coming from and its not pro hunting in any way. It does not matter if they say they are all life long hunters their actions speak way louder than their words

I've hunted 46 years in Washington State. Make what you will of that. CNW is just buying their way into the WDF&wolves, to shut down all hunting and fishing in the Inslee State.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Some CNW, DoW, WDFW history:

In Washington, Feds Opt For Wolf Introduction Over Recovery

http://www.skinnymoose.com/bbb/2010/06/08/in-washington-feds-opt-for-wolf-introduction-over-recovery/

It was bad enough with CNW and DoW, now look at all the fake environmental groups WDFW run with.
