Katmia Guy..........I missed your question.
I only have experience with my rig, but my comments may apply to other rigs as well.  I don't really have any negatives.  Just some precautions and things I learned the hard way.
Tracks raise the final gear ratio, ie: if your odometer says you have traveled 10  miles, you have actually only traveled 6 miles.  The speedometer is off and the fuel usage goes up as compared to riding with tires. The gear ratio change leads to running out power in wet, soft snow even in low range and I would consider the 700cc to be the minimum engine size for tracks.  I ride in low range nearly all the time, so smoking the drive belt is not an issue, but even with a clutch kit I have smoked the belt a little in high range.  In dry cold snow I have been in 6 or 7 feet of snow and only left a 4or 5inch deep track with 2 people on the bike.  Starting to move the bike after stopping in deep snow is not a problem at all.  It will take me places I probably shouldn't go...LOL.  Even with power steering, I have been unable to turn the handle bars in some snow conditions and requires a little effort to turn around.
Otherwise, be careful and have fun.
It never changes, but it is always different.

Before I bought mine, I used my buddy's Polaris 800 with tracks last year during spring bear. No power steering :yike: :bdid:

What kind of tires are those ?
Interco LTB, Super Swamper LT tire. 31x11.50, little on the heavy side but wont be replacing tires every year. Have 1500+ miles with very little wear. Excellent traction, strong sidewalls. Run 3-5 pounds of air.
