Kel Tec PMR30  even loaded with a 30rnd mag and one in the pipe these things a crazy light weight.  Pack an extra mag and you've got 61 rounds of ammo.

Just picked up a cz 527 carbine in 7.62x39, seems to be a perfect little walking varmint/light deer rifle.  Love that set trigger.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

Glock 17 (115 fmj's) or 17L(115 solid copper +P+ Underwood Xtreme Penetrator) with two extra mags and one in the pipe.  52 lead or copper supplements ready for delivery.
May that for which I prepare never come to pass.

Marlin 1894C 357mag carbine or Springfield XDM 45acp.
Nothing like a Remington model 700xcr.

What's your reasoning for going extreme penetrator vs hardcast Outdoorsman?   I love the penetrator rounds, but when it comes to performance on big game the hardcast has a long and proven track record.  I'm skeptical the lighter penetrators will outperform the Outdoorsman when it comes to smashing  bones.  Not a wide enough meplat.  Anyhow, just curious what your reasoning was.

I like your thinking.  I've always had a saying that you never know when you're going to come across something that is better off dead.  I carry around a number of different pieces depending on the time of year.  Usually either an SP101, an old Mark 1 (nostalgic for me), 10-22 or my A-Bolt in 243.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

I just picked up a Glock 20, but now I have a wild hair to get a threaded 22 with a suppressor! Mainly want that for during archery season.

It used to be a Marlin 1894CL in 218 Bee when edible critters were on the list, now it's a Glock 19 for SD no need to kill anything I can't skin or eat.

Now it is a 222 Rem when pelts are good. Light loaded ammo in it for rabbits.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Make mine a Minaska
