Skookumchuck float ??
« on: February 28, 2018, 08:10:54 PM »
Hello, I used to float the river with my grandpa about 20 years ago, haven’t fished it since.  Just started to get back into fishing and was wondering if you could still float I I and where you put in and take out? Thanks

Floated it last weekend..Have a buddy that lives down that way.. He may chime in on the drop in point because I do not recall. We took out at Bucoda park. Pretty steep pull out. Buddy has a winch on his truck that made quick work

A couple of weeks ago a guy dumped his boat and lost all his gear trying to float it.  Apparently he couldn't figure out how to navigate down trees.

I also floated it last weekend dropped in at second bridge pulled out in bucoda park I didn't see and down trees across the river a few snags here and there but nothing as too bad seen a couple other boats in there pulling plugs. It's decently tight but do able I have a few friends here that float it.

It's fascinating, and puzzling, that some people think an internet forum should be something OTHER than sharing useful information with other people with mutual interests.

 :dunno:

Apparently the post this was in reference to was deleted.

Thanks for the info, I have a 2 man bad cat cataraft so getting around trees isn’t horrible and if I take the drift boat I take my saw.  But thanks all the same, I’ve floated it a few times when I was younger and it was fun.
