Only 2 defining forces sacrificed themselves for you:
The American Soldier and Jesus Christ. One died for your freedom, the other for your soul.

My rock,
He trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.
Psalm 144.1

$575 for a hatchet?  I bought a new one at Home Depot recently for $9 I think.  I don't see that one working any better.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

Ahh come on people where's your sense of adventure?!??!  It just paper we put value on right????  When they ban all the guns we will lining up to get one of these sweet little home defense hatchets.  That is purty but yeah I would not be laying down the valued paper for that one either.

It might be cool for larping, but I'd think you'd get better use out of a Gransfors, unless it IS for larping.

Anybody pay that much for a knife?

Guess I miss the cool factor on blades.  I'm pretty sure my multi-tool was the most expensive blade of any type I have ever bought.  I seem to be spending less over time, I now carry a Gerber Dime and the replaceable blade hunting knives.

I love good steel in a blade, but I am "afraid" to carry a custom/expensive one in the field lest I lose it or break it somehow.  My favorite knife for the past 30 years has been a small lock blade folding Buck with steel so hard I've never needed to sharpen it when field dressing and/or skinning animals up to moose size.  I'm on my third iteration of it, having left the original on a gravel bar after gutting a salmon, and having broken the tip on another while dissecting an elk.  I have a custom Rainshadow in the kitchen that I love. :)
