Long Beach Bear Hunt
« on: March 21, 2018, 06:09:33 PM »
Does anyone know if there is any public land or anyone with private property in Long Beach WA where there are Bears.  I drew a tag for spring bear there  but not sure exactly were I can go.  My next bear will be number 30 so this is a special accomplishment for me.  Please let me know if anyone has any ideas.  Thank you.

Long Island is gmu 699
684 is mostly private land. check OnX maps. There is some timber company land on the south end of the peninsula.

I had the tag last year, saw a few bears, never did shoot one. Lots of private, but there is some public/timber company land on the east side of the peninsula

Good Luck Big John seen some nice bears there mostly on private but they can't stay there all the time

I'd go knock on doors and maybe talk to the local game cop, I was there last fall and talked to locals who complained about bears in the garbage and such.

We have bears on our place frequently.  Not sure where they den up or stay, but I usually see them each time we are down on the property.  Our place is in Oysterville.

When my Grandma lived down there, she had bears getting into her compost pile daily. She lived on Loomis Lake. I’ve got to think talking to the local WDFW officer would be your best bet.
