Got the S10 in the shop.  Be an easy 2 year project.     Murdered out with a V8 under the hood.  Few sand bags in the back, it would pull your driveway.  :chuckle:

Not sure what your budget is . But I have a 96 7.3 powerstroke single cab 4X4 that ive been thinking of selling . Mechanically sound , but he could tinker with uprgrading it from stock  :) And some cosmetics .

I've got a '89 Dodge D 100 that is just sitting.  V-6 with 4 on the floor with OD.  It ran when I parked it several years ago, but it needs to be rewired under the hood.  There's a canopy that goes with it.  It has all the glass, but the interior is mildewed.  No battery.  Offer me whatever you think will make your stepson appreciate it, and it's yours.

What do you call old and how much are you thinking to spend?
I'm not sure.

Wow thanks for all the offers guys! Donít suppose anyone has pics do they?
Looking for something fairly cheap, donít want it too squared away or he wonít learn wrenching  :chuckle:

Iíd love something 60ís like my first car, 1960 2dr Falcon I drug out of the neighbors blackberries for $50. Man that car was fun. But realistically something we can work through together thatís not going to cost 10k to get road worthy for a high schooler. Older being preferably pre electronic ignition but thatís not set in stone, and carbureted.

Like I said letís see what ya got, and pictures help, itíll give him something to drool over

Well today we drug home his first vehicle. Friday night we found a 1971 F250 camper special. Ranger XLT, 2wd, 390/C6, factory air. Basically original, in the family since new. We put a battery and one cable in and drove it home. Itís going to need quite a bit of work but the boy is super stoked to have something of his own and something to work on. Heís already talking about taking it to the Rod Run at long beach!

That is a great truck for your young man. The rod run is a good show and I am glad he is ready to get to work.

Nice.  Have him mow some lawns, make a few dollars, then put collector plates on that thing.  Teach him the value of money.

Perfect!

Wish I would have gotten my stepson something similar when he was your sons age instead of handing off my 7 year old pickup.(too new)
