Chukar this past weekend
« on: October 29, 2007, 11:09:43 AM »
I normally go for chukar in the morning, and quail for the last few hours of the day every Sat. This past Saturday, the coveys were so good I spent the entire day chuk'n. My legs are still paying for it.  :) The numbers of birds seemed real good. Busted 7 different coveys, ranging from a dozen or so birds up to 40 or more. Amazing how those little buggers seem to vanish even when you think you know where they landed. I think an important rule of chukars is where there's chukar poo, there's chukar. Keep your eyes on the lookout for poo!! Looking forward to next Saturday for sure!
