the little guys can't eat that much that fast can they? I'm thinking about grabbing the boy and going to the blues this weekend is it worth it?

I'm mostly done.  Need to get some work done now.  The Mrs wants to try to find a moose shed this weekend, so maybe we'll do that.

We found a few turkey hunting. Some are badly chewed. One would have been a great white tail, but a porcupine got to it first. I'm always looking for sheds...doesn't matter what time of year it is.

dug one of them *censored*s out from between my shoulder blades on my neck the other night.  How annoying.  What was your assessment of the year duck?   This was the worst since I began.  Slightly worse than last year.

overall competition increases, individual success decreases, no matter how good you are at finding them..
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

I'm pretty much done.  I hiked my arse off Saturday and Sunday and found nothing.  All told 9 whiteys and 1 elk.  Only 3 fresh sheds this year, 5 from last year and 2 were older.  Time to go find a turkey or two.  Fishing never really ends.

No antlers yet for me.  Didn't seem to be as many bulls wintering in the area I search.  The bulls that were there were young ones, five points and raghorns, they hadn't shed yet when I was there.  The cold month of March slowed the green up and could have been a factor.

I am about done. Overall the year was not too bad for me.
I've hunted almost everyday of my life, the rest have been wasted.
