2007 Deer Hunting Poll
« on: November 16, 2007, 03:42:18 PM »
I wanted to run a poll to see how the success was here in Washington for deer hunting this year.  There are about 600 members on here, It would be cool if at least half of you voted.  This should be more accurate than the average check station. I assumed this poll was for everyone eho deer hunted by the way, so if you didn't hunt, don't vote.
Thanks

i think i've been hunting here in WA since 2001.
i've never hit a check station to date. i drive back hwy 26 to I-90 usually the wednesday of general season every year for the last 6 years. this year i came back on monday and my buddy came back on sunday, still no check station. do they actually exist?

Its really funny as they base all of their numbers on a check station out of the chewuch or Chewack.  Bare in mind that it has been in the same place for years and years, and there are two roads.  You can choose to go through the hassle of going through the check station, or drive around the block where its actually shorter and quicker.  Then base all of your reports and forcasts and blah blah blah on thos stats for the whole east side.

Along with your poll Boneaddict, I'd like to see some success photos of some of those 2007 filled tags!

Tag Soup for me. I tried most of the season to get my daughter her first deer and no luck. I had her on a rest or shooting sticks with fairly easy shots and she just wasn't fast enough or wanted a better shot. I have to give her credit for that. Then when I was on my own I was looking for another wall hanger. I saw 2 great and 1 good blacktails. Things never worked out. Its been a few years since I haven't tagged out but I am satisfied with the time with the kids. Already trying to figure out next year!  :tung:

With 700 members, I was hoping to get more votes on here for a more accurate accounting.

Three modern deer tags, hunted the majority of the season, no kills.  Passed on a couple small 3  points, and saw 2 great bucks.

You can add two more whitetail bucks and a blacktail buck for my hunting partners.

I shot a very nice blacktail buck the first day of late buck. Spent the next six days looking for it.Never found it. The first time in thirty years I shot something that I never recovered. :'(

Voting isn't either, but then again I wouldn't want Hillary in either because I didn't stop by the booth.
