I'd like to buy some...I'd like to find them myself even more.

If you find one in Thurston county let me know.

I stopped to talk with a road side seller the other day inquiring if they bought. They said no and that they didn't know of anyone who bought. I said thanks (as I thought "you lying SOB") and gave 5lbs to my coworkers. Still got about 5 lbs to give away or eat. I put up about 15 lbs in the last couple weeks.

BTKR - I'd love to take some off your hands for this weekend.  I'm doing some elk backstrap for a non-hunting relative and thought about buying some.  Rather buy a pound or two from you than a stranger  ;)

I've seen some roadside buyers around the Forks area.  One across the highway from Thriftway, one in the town of Beaver, and there was a stand or two in between.

No problem Tom. I thought I read the going rate was $20-$25 a pound with a 5 pound minimum.  :IBCOOL:

I will just give some to ya. Are you going to be around today? I will try to call you in a bit.

No, I'm working in Oregon today but will be around tomorrow.  I can swing by anytime that works for you, before/after work, etc.

Man, the prices really went up, huh?!

I read that somewhere also, got a little excited, but I seriously doubt that price.
I wish, could pay for a few hunting trips.....

saw on Portland Craigslist someone selling for $3 a pound, you could buy them out, drive up here, sell for $20,  :chuckle:

Carpinitos in Kent had chanterelles last week for $5.49 a pound if anyone's interested.
So many fish, so few sick days....

Sounds right.

The roadside seller had them at $5 a pound. Two different grocery stores had them between $9 and $15.

Yea, I am not sure what the poster was trying to say, but $20 is a bit high for sure. Maybe the poster was high?  :chuckle:

Hey BTKR. If I remember right there is a buyer in Dayton. Just before Matlock. I don't know if they are there this year or not but it seems like I remember seeing them set up last year. But my memory has been known to fail me on occasion.

How much money can you get for turning in chanterelles? Always have heard about people doing it but never really heard how much $ they get for them.

I have no idea, but when I see them for sale at $5 a pound, it can't be much. I would rather eat them, put them up (either can, freeze, or dehydrate) or give them away.

There was a guy buying off Exit 99 but I did not see him this year.  I thought he was only paying $1 per pound or something crazy like that.

Theres a guy with a tent set up at Carnivle Market here in Longview buying, he's paying $2 a pound for #1s, 3 for cauliflour. Prices are abit low this year, but like said before lots of mushrooms out there . Supply and demand.
