Rules:
1) 5 members max per team - guest/kids can count towards your total as long as they aren't regular members of your team.  *Here is what I had in mind for a "guest hunter"  Sometimes you take a newbie out, sometimes a relative rolls into town and you take them out.  If you kill an animal on these hunts then it can count toward your total as long as someone from the team was there.  A guest hunter can't go out by themselves one time, kill ten coyotes, and have that total counted to someone's team.  (For rule clarification: A guest hunter can only count toward your total for one hunt, and must be accompanied by a team member.)
2) No roadkill
3) Honor system applies
4) Photo of kill with at least one team member needs to be submitted for points to be awarded. (Or a card with team name)
5) You can add someone to your team after the 1st, but any coyotes they shoot prior to be putting on your team do not count.
6) No hand gestures needed for photos.  This is a "fun" contest.  No money or big prizes involved, so I would hope our members keep it on the up and up.  Don't drag frozen coyotes around to different locations and take pictures.  For the heaviest and smallest coyote, you will need to show a picture of the scale.  For the most animals taken in a 12 hour period, you will need to take a group shot (both ears of the animal are acceptable in lieu of a pelt or in the round).  For the most animals award, I will be counting all animals, regardless of type as 1 point (ie, 4 bobcats, 3 coyotes = 7).  This is not the calculation for your point total, just that part of the contest that applies to animals.

Scoring:
1) West Side Coyote - 3
2) East side Coyote - 1
3) Bobcats - 4
4) Foxes - 2
5) Misc. called animals (ie: badgers, cougars, wolves - Idaho) will be awarded points by a random drawing of 10, 20, or 30 points that are selected out of a hat.
6) Multipliers: Muzzleloader - points x 1.5, Compound Bow - points x 3, Traditional Bow - points x 5, Out-of state animals - points x .5
7) Photo .5/per animal

Prizes/Leaders:
1) Winning Team - Team Lamar
2) Heavy Coyote - 38.995429# - Big10gauge
3) Smallest Coyote - 11# - CoryTDF
4) Heaviest Bobcat - none weighed
5) Most animals killed in a 12 hour period - Team Deadfowl with 8

There has been a little confusion, as to when team members can be added.  Team members can be added all the way up to the last day of the contest.  However, any kills prior to them signing up will not be counted for the team.

Also, I have assigned free agents to teams.  If the team they were assigned to would rather me keep those spots open so they can add friends at a later date.  Please PM me and we will reassign teams.

If the free agent would like to start their own team, even if it is a single person to start with, I can do that too.  Just PM me that request as well.

Thanks Everyone.

Pathfinder Jr and I were deer scouting last Saturday and saw a 'yote.  He wanted to shoot it so bad he was begging me for my pistol (at 150 yards  :chuckle:).  I usually don't shoot 'yotes unless I am hunting for them, but I'll have to reconsider this year...

After calling a coyote in the TOP Food parking lot at 6:00am while waiting for SageBrushStalker we headed out under BullELK's advisement we ended up somewhere south of Canada but north of Oregon. Next time he better not forget the maps. On the second set we called in one that winded us before a good shot presented itself, then on the 3rd set this guy came in but he didn't leave. BullElk took the shot at 71 Long  yrds.

Had my chance last night in Vancouver. We were down for the weekend to visit and my daughter hunted for a buck but didn't get one. Anyway, I was showing about 20 kids how the coyote howl works after dark and I got quite a few coyotes howling in the canyon. They thought it was very cool. Then I went to pup distress and we looked out into the field in front of the house and a coyote was running right to the house. He stopped at about 100yds and then the older boys ran out after him. Kinda funny. Didn't think there was one out there that crazy to come in with so much noise.
