Ya....your intense.
I read this story before bedtime last night.  So much for sugar plum fairies dancing in my head.

I was spear hunting white puma in my dreams.

Thats a sweet hunting accomplishment.  Congrats.

Boy Howdy, I applaud your effort and success. I have taken two mountain lions to date. The first one my buddy called in and I took it at 310 yards. The second one I tracked for a few hours and finally saw it up canyon at 440 yards. My first shot barely grazed its hind leg as it was quartering away. It ran down into the bottom and I worked my way toward it. I saw it again working its way up the slope and this time I was 400 yards away and got down prone and made a good chest shot. I have seen 13 of them now but only 4 were spotted during open season. When it comes to lions I too am of the opinion that lead in the air (or in my case copper as I generally shoot Barnes bullets) is a good thing. The closest mtn lion I have shot at is the first one I hit. The other two were at 500 and 525. I saw one at about 10 yards on a spring bear hunt in Oregon in May of 2008 but did not have the out of state lion tag. I have also seen two in the road I was driving up and they were only about 25 yards away. I sure would like to get one up close and personal like you did. No doubt that was quite a thrill. Rufous.

I just got a email with two of these pix and a partially BS story.  sounds like this cat is getting bigger every day.
still a nice cat joe and congrats on becoming famous in the email world.

here is the story:

Big one, 317lbs. Shot near Wenatchee, WA.

This email is from my Subaru Mazda service manager and the original is from his son Clayton.

Anyone want to pay taxidermy cost for a record cat?  The kids are not sure what to do with it.  I told them to keep it frozen and not try to skin it.  Maybe we could mount it in the bar in Scottsdale so the cougars no what they are named after.

Here is a picture of cat.  a friend  of mine shot in the Ellensburg area on Wednesday. He came upon a fresh kill where there were three cats feeding. Now there is two. Note the size of the paws.

Too funny Hillbilly!  I got that same email and just had to laugh.  I got the email from a friend who lives in Aberdeen too!   :chuckle:

This is funny.  You're going to have your picture circulating around the net for many years to come with false stories.  You'll probably end up on Snopes someday.

Some people probably have seen the pic with Jim Hackewitz holding his friends cougar.  It has been posted all over the net and I think he is now on snopes.  Why do people make up false stories with a real pic??? It is probably a complement though, I guess.

Great cat.  Thanks for killing a deer eating machine.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

I love this internet hysteria.  At least some guys are getting the story right.  The only sad part is the actual story is so awesome but is getting over shadowed.
