Wall of Bulls
« on: February 20, 2008, 10:26:06 PM »
Took a pic of some of the elk antlers over the years.   Taking pics of the bike (buy it!!!!), and took a pic of the elk horns.  Nothing worth mounting yet, but still working on it.

That's a nice collection. Any bull is a good bull in my book. My dad killed probably 40 elk and the biggest was a 4 point. It's funny how the standards have changed over the years as far as mount worthy.

No there are couple from Mt, larger ones are from Wa.  Started hunting Elk in 93 drew a couple tags.  Been pretty lucky and could have killed a few more spikes.  Been holding out for a wall hanger, so eventually it has to happen.  It is dang hard passing up a bull in hopes for a larger one.  Need to start archery hunting elk as I think that is where the best opportunity for a 350 +- bull is.

Nice job on the elk there! Better watch out on that bowhunting stuff! You think elk hunting with a rifle is exciting? Man you start hunting them in rutting times with a bow & man you are addicted!!! (grin) Just take a gander at the sorry bunch of us that do!!!!! Man, you just can't get enough!!!!

Bone...yeah I actually passed up a six point similar to the others standing next to the five.  Was a no brainer to me.  Elknut....don't know if I will ever be able to hunt elk in the rut (my choice) as my hunting parter (brother) just can not hunt that time of year.  It is critical that I hunt with my brother now more then ever, so that is just one of those things I have made a choice on.  We hunt deer with a bow and we would be hunting elk in a second with a bow if not for the season conflict.
