« on: September 06, 2010, 07:31:25 PM »
My brother and I were sitting on a remote ridge at 6300 feet glassing for high buck sat evening when asked me to look at this funky looking mountain goat hauling tail over a rock slide. we both got our scopes focused and at the same time said wolf!! we watched him for five minutes before we lost sight of him no doubt one lone big white wolf. sorry no pics.

There have been wolves running around here for the past few years but they are pretty elusive.

Have you contacted our Dept of F&W?

damn wolves are all over the damn place now. Of corse it will take up deer and elk herds being shot before anything is done about them.

If the anti-hunters can get them everywhere and keep them on the endangered species list they will eliminate the big game causing many hunters to quit.  Same tactics involved as banning ammunition.  If you don't have game to hunt you probably won't.  There's only one way to prevent this.  SSS

If the hunters of this liberal state don't take this wolf subject seriously and maby even if they do, we are screwed. Honestly I believe even if everyone took up the SSS solution (which they should if they care about hunting and the elk and deer in our state) it's not going to help us to much. The elk hunting in this state is at it's peak starting now, from the point the first wolves stuck foot in our state we were doomed. Give it 8 to 10 years maby and they will be the ones keeping the elk numbers in check not us. Just my thought.
