How is the 342 umtanum, 334 ellensburg, and 328 naneum gmus for birds? I see them n the summer in the bethal unit and one hen last year n the 342 but was on private land. I don't want to go and try around the klickitat n goldendale area since its basically private land n don't want to run the risk of gettin screwed.

There are birds around, but nothing like up by Spokane. I consistently see birds during the summer in Manastash, but I have no idea where they are in April. Durring the summer they are up around 4000' in Manastash. I've also seen birds in 335, but most are on private land. Tried hunting them more then a few times on the public land nearby, but never have been able to pull it off. Again, hunted them in Reecer Creek area too without luck, and up by Liberty too. More "interesting" people around Liberty then I want to deal with for a Turkey.

I guess what I'm saying is that there are huntable numbers around, but you're gonna have to put in quite a bit of working figuring them out or, get access to some private ground. For my money, hunting around here for Turkeys is a waste of time now that I know about the NE corner of the state.

Most of the turkeys around the umtanum and eburg areas are all on private land during april...private land that unfortunately non-hunters own...there are tons of turkeys up near spokane..with a little scouting you'd be able to get on one for sure....
