The draw is coming up, I don't know the exact date but I am sure it is somewhere online.

You can apply when it is open through the wdfw website...

I would never apply for that unit.  There are no big bucks up there.

You eastside guys sure are protective of your area. :chuckle:

I would think that area would be hard to archery hunt, kind of like the Desert area.

I drew the Desert tag in 2006 and even though it is open tough hunting it is a awesome hunt.  On the other hand My buddy drew the firing center in 2004 and though he didnt fill the tag we saw bucks that were ridiculous :rockin:

It's a fairly easy tag to draw and is the time of season when the animals are in some big groups or single's wondering for late estrus does.  And if your any good at putting on  a stalk, there is are some nice bucks out there.  i hunted it  rifle this season and shot a 180 class deer out there.  and saw a couple of other really nice ones.  you have to hunt though, can't just expect to see the deer roaming freely just chillin.  they get presssssssssured.
Work sucks!!!! I should be shed hunting

Onyl hunted there once, but seems like it would be tuff with a bow.  If I recall the archery hunt is after the rifle hunt??

One of the best bucks from there this year was at the Sportsmans show this Spring...well, more than one, but one was taken with a bow and the guy was on crutches at the time with a broken leg or something.  Nice buck.  I'd hate to insult the guy but seems like he was in his 50's-60's.  Nice buck anyway.

He was on crutches. I shoot league with him, he is in his 60's. I actually bought the bow I shoot now from him. It is an excellent buck.

COOL that you know him!  I was very impressed.  Now that is dedication.  Made me think of Hunting cowboy or one of you other guys out there on crutches gimping along.
